The Most Terrible Habits for Your Waistline
Are you fed up with looking heavy? Are you tired of battling with your muffin top only to lose that fight daily? Believe it or not, there are many habits (most of which you probably don’t think about anymore) that could be keeping you from slimming down. We all have bad habits that hinder us from shedding off the weight we would like to lose. Here are a number of habits that you might want to change if you want to improve the look and feel of your waistline.
Eating a diet full of fat free or low fat foods. The truth is that low fat or fat free foods are merely good for saving a few calories per serving. What they take away in fat, they put back in in the form of sugars. These are the sugars that induce sugar rushes and the consequent sugar crashes as well as that rebound hunger that makes you eat at all times. Cater to your taste buds and let yourself savor the full fat versions of food from time to time. You won’t be as starved and you will have a great deal more energy.
It oftentimes does more damage to your weight than good when you try to work on your own nutrition. When you look at it on a surface level, nutrition appears to be pretty straightforward. The honest truth is, however, that it is actually pretty complicated. If you would like to venture on a campaign to become healthy and slim down, you should make at least one appointment with a dietitian. A dietician will help you determine how much of what sort of food you need to be eating and help you plan a reasonable and healthy diet.
Failure to get adequate sleep. Studies have proven that individuals who don’t get enough sleep have an average of two and a half times more belly fat and a more difficult time losing weight than people who get the recommended six to seven hours each night. You’ve likely heard eight hours all your life, but six or seven has been proven to be the most advantageous for those who are trying to slim down.
Softdrinks, even diet soda, is truly bad for you if you want to slim down and get rid of your muffin top. Those who drink one to two softdrinks a day are more likely, by thirty percent, to have weight problems. Diet soda drinkers had bellies that expanded up to five times faster than people who didn’t drink soda pop. Thus, put down that Pepsi or Coke and choose water instead!
There are a lot of small, every day, kinds of things that hinder us from achieving the weight we want to achieve. Things like drinking too much softdrinks, eschewing empty calories and trying to plan your own weight loss diet (especially when you are new to dieting) can all contribute to the expansion of your waistline. Make sure you talk with your primary health care provider to determine if any of the things you are doing could be preventing you from achieving your weight loss goals.
